Unemployment fraud cases in Wisconsin involving overpayments of $5,000 or more and 5 acts of concealment meet the initial criteria for potential referral for criminal prosecution. 129 cases were detected in 2007 and jumped to 2,129 in 2010. It has since dropped to 1,511 in 2012. However, the amount of prosecutions dropped from 78 in 2007 to 56 in 2012 with 19 and 11 convictions respectively.
