MADISON, Wis. – Sloppy record handling was part of the culture at the former Government Accountability Board (GAB), according to statements at the Wisconsin Ethics Commission meeting on Thursday.
When staffers took over the building after the GAB was disbanded in 2016, they found a disaster zone in the basement dating back over ten years. That means the private communications of scores of conservatives seized by partisan investigators during the John Doe probes weren’t exactly handled with care.
