Here’s the treat: homeowners in school districts around the state are in line to get serious property tax relief. But the trick is that the school districts want to keep that from happening, instead proposing significant new spending while claiming it won’t have much of an impact on taxes. Conveniently overlooked, however, is how much taxes would drop absent the spending sprees.
