You’ve heard the adage, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. And so it goes with Gov. Tony Evers’ massive health care budget, which pins its hopes on all that “free” Medicaid money – built, of course, on the backs of taxpayers. Evers’ plan to expand Medicaid would haul in a lot of federal money, but growing our Medicaid rolls is likely to be a permanent albatross around the necks of Wisconsin taxpayers.
