Wisconsin Republicans plan to cut $32 million out of the University of Wisconsin’s budget, because that’s how much it spends on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says those programs are divisive and have no place on campus. Milwaukee Democrats said Republicans’ plans to eliminate DEI are racist. Vos says they’ve turned DEI into a religion.
