[Madison, Wisc…] Hundreds of people flocked to the Capitol on Thursday to speak in favor or opposition to a bill that would create a Model Academic Standards Board in charge of creating and review new academic standards for Wisconsin. Many educators and the Department of Public Instruction opposed the bill, but a majority of parents spoke in favor of the bill. However, Senate leaders have said the bill has little chance of coming to a vote by the full body because they don’t have the votes.Pictures from the hearing:
