The spring elections are over, but there were some questions leading up to April 2, specifically in Racine County. The Racine Journal Times reported last week that the county Parks and Recreation Board would be giving away free Milwaukee Brewers tickets for the game on Wednesday.
This plan, on any other Tuesday, would be welcomed by most Wisconsinites and no one in the mainstream media questioned it. RightWisconsin.com was the only outlet to “connect the dots.”
Tuesday was Election Day and RightWisconsin.com pointed out that the location that was going to be used for the ticket giveaway was a polling location. After their initial report last Friday, many local citizens expressed their concern that this could be viewed as electioneering, an action that is illegal at polling locations.
Days after the reports from RightWisconsin.com, the Government Accountability Board announced Monday they were working to cancel the giveaway at the polling location and it was moved.
