[Madison, Wisc…] With just days to go before the 2012 election, a group of concerned Wisconsin citizens has announced its plan to create a database that will keep tabs on same-day voter registrations in an effort to prevent the casting of erroneous ballots and ensure election integrity.According to a news release from Verify All the Votes, the database will be similar to the I-Verify system that was used during the gubernatorial recall election in June.
The group plans to use the database to cross-check Wisconsin’s same-day voter rolls against voter registration lists in neighboring states and other sources, including postal addresses.
Verify All the Votes stated goal is to have “free, fair and honest elections,” regardless of political affiliation.
